Master Frank Ding is a 4th Generation Chen Taichi Master. He began to learn Wushu at the age of 13 under the instruction of Shen Huarong. His passion to learn Chinese martial arts lead him to pursue a formal education in Wushu from the Shanghai Physical Education Institute where he received both his Bachelor’s (1998) and Master’s degree (2001). At the Shanghai Physical Education Institute, Master Ding had two formidable teachers, Master Guo Zhiyu and Master Xie Yelei, a Wushu specialist and a Chen Taichi (Taiji) specialist, respectively. In 2003, Master Ding attended the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) regional teacher’s workshop for the Middle Year Program (MYP) in physical education.
